Membership

ASA Has Proudly Been Serving its Generations of Families Since 1973

At ASA you are not just a number, you are a member. When you become a member, you become part of a family.

Why Join?

A credit union is a nonprofit, cooperative financial institution owned and run by its members. Organized to serve, democratically controlled credit unions provide their members with a safe place to save and borrow at reasonable rates. Members pool their funds to make loans to one-another. The volunteer board that runs each credit union is elected by the members.

National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund
The National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF) is the federal fund created by Congress in 1970 to insure member's deposits in credit unions up to the $250,000 federal limit. Administered by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). The NCUSIF is backed by the "full faith and credit" of the U.S. Government.

No tax dollars have ever been placed in the Credit Union Financial Fund, and no member has ever lost money insured by the NCUSIF.
